    Q:
How to replace a water pump on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to empty the cooling system and take off the Drive Belt guard before starting Water Pump replacement. Untighten Water Pump Pulley bolts and remove Drive Belt. After that loosen and remove the Water Pump Pulley bolts then take off the Water Pump Pulley. Disconnect the Water Pump bolts and take out both the pump and gasket in that order. Prepare the Water Pump areas with cleaning before you put the new gasket and Water Pump in place. Affix the Water Pump bolts securely at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) and put on the Water Pump Pulley bolts. Tighten these final bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Put back the Drive Belt parts and belt guard while filling the cooling system then checking for any fluid leaks.

How to replace the water pump (RPO LX9) on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the Water Pump (RPO LX9), you should first empty the cooling system and afterward remove the Drive Belt after loosening the pulley bolts. Following that, grab the Water Pump Pulley bolts and pull out the Water Pump Pulley, and then the Water Pump bolts to get the Water Pump off. Throw away the old Water Pump Gasket and clean all the contacting surfaces. You should put a new Water Pump Gasket on the Water Pump before installing the Water Pump itself.
