    Q:
How to replace the fan shroud on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
Safety precautions start with checking both the electric coolant fan caution and damaged Fan Blade caution before commencing Fan Shroud replacement. The inspection of engine compartment must occur if you hear any abnormal noises or feel vibrations do so by cleaning all foreign materials from the cooling fan blades. Start the replacement process by taking out the cooling fan assembly and shroud over which you must turn the cooling fan nuts clockwise while loosening them. After removing the cooling fan nuts you should detach the fans from their position on the shroud. To remove fan motors from the cooling Fan Shroud the technician should disconnect electrical connectors then unscrew motor screws before pulling out the fan motors. You need to erase all heat shields on the cooling Fan Shroud. Start by mounting the heat shields to the cooling Fan Shroud before adding fan motors according to the fastener notice. Insert and tighten the cooling fan nuts at 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) counterclockwise to re-attach the cooling fans to the shroud while also connecting the cooling Fan Motor electrical connectors and screwing the fan motors to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Reinstall the whole cooling fan assembly with its attached shroud.

    Q:
How to replace the fan shroud on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
A safety check must happen before Fan Shroud replacement where electric coolant fans should be inspected for problems while Fan Blade damage deserves attention. You should look for unusual vibrations and noises from your engine compartment before cleaning away debris from the cooling fan blades. You should start your work by taking out the electric cooling fan assembly and untightening the cooling fan nuts with a clockwise rotation. Detaching the cooling fans requires first removing the fan nuts before disconnecting the fans from the shroud. Remove the cooling Fan Shroud by disconnecting electrical connectors from fan motors then removing Fan Motor screws and extracting the fan motors from their location. The next step requires heat shield screw removal and heat shields separation before extraction of the cooling Fan Motor electrical harness from the cooling Fan Shroud. First install the cooling Fan Motor electrical harness to the cooling Fan Shroud then secure the heat shields with screws set at 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Place the fan motors onto the cooling Fan Shroud while fastening them with screws tightened to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). The cooling fans should be reinstalled onto the shroud with cooling fan nuts being tightened counterclockwise to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). The electric cooling fan assembly should be reinstalled at the last stage of the repair process.
