How to replace the evaporator core (Delphi) on 2003 Cadillac Escalade?

The replacement of delphi Evaporator core requires first removing the hvac module. First remove heat stakes from the hvac module by using both a screwdriver and hammer before you remove hvac module assembly screws. You must remove the Evaporator cowl gasket from the Evaporator before splitting the upper hvac module assembly away from the lower hvac module assembly. The hvac module assembly requires removal of the Evaporator core. The Evaporator core placement inside the hvac module assembly requires refrigerant oil addition upon Evaporator core replacement. Combine the upper hvac module assembly with the lower hvac module assembly while securing the Evaporator cowl gasket into position on the Evaporator. Secure the screws which hold the hvac module assembly while applying 2 n.m of torque until they reach 18 lb in of tightness. Install the hvac module assembly as the final step of the installation.
