How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier?

To replace the stop lamp switch, remove the screw that holds the lower trim insulator and disconnect the electrical connections. Counterclockwise the switch to insert the switch out of the switchbox. For installation, press the switch into the retainer without depressing the brake pedal. Make sure to stretch the plunger properly and reconnect the electrical connectors before putting back the trim insulator.
