• Q: How to replace the Body Control Module (BCM) on 2003 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: When handling the bcm always turn off the Ignition Switch before you handle the circuit board components and connector pins along with disconnecting or connecting bcm power supplies including battery cables, connectors and fuses. A bcm electrical connector should slide into its unique position with minimal force. Fitting the parts incorrectly can damage both the connector and entire bcm system. Open the front kick-up panel on the right side floor and pull up the bottom tab of the bcm to assist in releasing it from the bracket. Lift the bcm out of the bracket slot to access both mounted tabs on top and finish the removal. Take off the bcm harness connectors and pull out the bcm from its installation position. Do this step with the Ignition Switch in off position and attach harness wires to bcm terminal ends. Insert the bcm upper tabs into the bracket slots and press the lower tab into the bracket before clicking the bcm into its final position. To complete the installation put back the floor panel and use a new or replaced bcm following its setup for your vehicle configuration.
