2002 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the Body Control Module (BCM) on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Shut off the ignition before handling the BCM because electrical harm occurs. Also keep away from touching connector pins and solder connections because this creates electrostatic discharges. First take off the front floor kick-up panel (RH) then lift the lower tab of BCM to detach it from the bracket before moving the module out of its slots and taking off the upper mounting tabs. Unplug the BCM's connectors first then take out the unit from its position. Make sure the ignition remains OFF during installation when you plug the connectors into the BCM. Lock the BCM upper tab into bracket slots, apply the bottom tab into bracket space, and press the BCM into place. Replace the front floor kick-up panel on the right side at last. Installation of a fresh BCM demands its programming into the current vehicle with the Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration.
