Start by draining fuel from below the fuel tank fill hose until the level reaches the mark. Then remove the fuel filler cap. The first step requires removing the two retaining bolts and push-pin which compose the filler neck attachment to the vehicle body followed by lifting the vehicle up. The fuel fill hose requires removal from the fuel fill pipe and the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt has to be removed to access the fuel fill pipe assembly. To properly install the fuel fill pipe you must connect it to the fill hose while adjusting the pipe for fuel fill pipe housing before tightening the clamp to 2.75 n.m (24 lb in).
