2003 Chevrolet Tracker Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the front headlight bulb on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: The procedure to replace the headlamp bulb begins with hood elevation followed by supporting it securely. Turn off the lamp switch before starting the replacement since halogen bulbs hold gas under pressure so allow the bulb to cool properly when handling it. Handle the bulb through the base point only while keeping your eyes protected and maintaining both the bulb glass and its surface area clean and dry. The headlamp bulb electrical connector needs to be disconnected followed by removal of the rubber insulator from the lamp assembly. The headlamp bulb retainer becomes loose when pushed downward while being shifted to the side which makes bulb removal possible. To install the new bulb position it correctly into the assembly then place the retainer in a downward and sideways motion until it achieves the lock position. Lower the hood after you reconnect the electrical connector of the headlamp bulb and install the rubber insulator. Allow a proper disposal of the discarded bulb while setting halogen bulbs beyond children's access.
