• Q: How to replace the upper intake manifold on 2003 Chevrolet Venture?

  A: Engine coolant drainage from the cooling system should be the first step before upper Intake Manifold replacement. Start by removing the Throttle Body air inlet duct before disconnecting the combination of accelerator control and cruise control cables along with their bracket from the Throttle Body. First disconnect wiring harness connectors for throttle position (TP) sensor and idle air control (IAC) valve before removing engine left Spark Plug Wires and their holding clip. Every Throttle Body heater hose and vacuum hose needs to be disconnected from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve before removing the evap canister purge solenoid valve. First connect the Throttle Body heater hoses then the engine left side spark plug wire harness attachment clip and its corresponding wires.
