How to service and repair the Shift Interlock Solenoid on 2003 GMC Savana 3500?

To service the Shift Interlock Solenoid, turn off the SIR system and place the shift cleavage in neutral position. Unscrew the knee bolster, unscrew the electrical connector and pry the A/T shift lock control actuator until it comes off. Install the actuator, reattach the electrical connector and make adjustment. Lastly, install the knee bolster again and activate the SIR system.
