- Q: How to replace the washer reservoir on 2004 Buick Century?A: When replacing the Washer Reservoir you need to drain the fluid through it before taking out the filler neck and right headlamp. First unscrew the screws that attach the Washer Reservoir and then disconnect the front fender liner. Detach the washer pump tube and take off the washer pump power connector plus the Washer Reservoir sensor power connector. Twist and remove the Washer Reservoir bracket screw before taking the reservoir out through the right frame rail opening. Fit the new Washer Reservoir over the right frame rail and secure it with the bracket screw that needs tightening to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Connect all three electric connectors for the Washer Reservoir level sensor, washer pump, and washer pump hose. Secure the Washer Reservoir screws back into place by tightening the fender with 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. End with washer fluid by putting back the right headlamp part then inserting the filler tube on top.
