2004 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the canister purge valves on 2004 Buick Park Avenue?
A: To replace the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE, start with the removal of the fuel injector sight shield. Next, pull off the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve harness connector together with the vacuum hoses and the purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve. Releasing the tab of the EVAP canister purge valve bracket will result in removing the valve. To install put the EVAP canister purge valve to the canister bracket and connect the purge pipe and vacuum hose to the valve. Reconnect the harness connector for the EVAP canister purge valve and the last thing you do is reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
