A flat-bladed screwdriver allows the front input shaft seal removal from the Transfer Case before extraction. The new input shaft seal should be placed onto the input shaft before you install it with the j 42733 seal installer (J 42733). Reinstall the Transfer Case assembly while inspecting the Transfer Case fluid level and finally lower the vehicle.
