How to replace the intermediate steering shaft on 2004 Buick Regal?

Raise and support vehicle. Position seal, remove lower pinch bolt, detach intermediate shaft from steering gear. Keep wheels straight and column locked to protect sir coil. Lower vehicle, remove panel insulator, remove upper pinch bolt, disconnect and remove shaft. Reinstall in reverse order, tightening upper and lower pinch bolts, reinstall seals and insulator, lower vehicle.
