2004 Cadillac Seville Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the right engine mount on 2004 Cadillac Seville?
A: The first step to replace the right Engine Mount requires you to elevate and sustain the vehicle before removing its right front wheel. A suitable jack supports the engine assembly for the removal of the Engine Mount nut that connects to the Engine Mount Bracket. After letting the engine drop you can take away the jack-steady. Start by unfastening both the bolt and the nut which secure the right Engine Mount to the frame rail and complete the procedure by taking off the 2 nuts that unite the mount to the rail. Cut the vehicle height using a suitable tool before taking out retaining screws on frame rail bolts. The right Engine Mount can be removed once the vehicle is raised and the frame rail bolts are pushed upward which allows the mount to clear as the top portion moves away from the vehicle. To install the right Engine Mount users need to position it onto the right motor mount bracket and push frame rail bolts toward the mount while rotating it into position before lowering the vehicle. Install the frame rail retaining screws then tighten them to 4 nm using torque wrench to 35 ft. Lbs. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack while elevating the vehicle before installing the right Engine Mount at its correct position. Crime the correct Engine Mount attaching bolt and nut onto the frame rail before securing the right Engine Mount to the body rail using nuts at a torque of 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.). Lift the engine into its proper position then secure the right Engine Mount into the right Engine Mount Bracket through a nut which needs tightening to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). Under the last step lower the vehicle while you put on the right front wheel and eliminate the engine support jack.
