To access the tail lamp nuts you must first remove the rear speaker on the right side of the vehicle and loose the fasteners to tilt the auxiliary Blower Motor outward. Professional maintenance requires tail lamp removal by first disconnecting the electrical connector then removing the nuts securing the tail lamp to the body. The new tail lamp assembly needs a tail lamp electrical connection first before you secure the assembly to the body through nuts which require tightening to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Follow this procedure for the right side: reattach the rear speaker, then follow this procedure for the left side: reattach the auxiliary Blower Motor. To complete the installation, place the body side rear trim panel before closing the liftgate.
