Tail Lamp Assembly, Passenger Side

First, remove the liftgate applique from the liftgate by opening the liftgate. After that, take off the back up lamp socket by turning it to the left, and pull out the back up lamp from the socket. Start by putting the new back up lamp bulb into the socket, and then put the back up lamp socket into the liftgate applique, twisting it in clockwise. Lastly, put the liftgate applique back on the liftgate and close the gate.

First access the tail lamp by opening the liftgate followed by removal of the body side rear trim panel. Clear the rear speaker from the right side. You can access the tail lamp nuts on the left side through this procedure: remove fasteners, tilt the auxiliary Blower Motor outward to reach these nuts. Users should move the liftgate close actuator motor control module to an improved access position for replacement tasks. After removing the rear seat belt retractor, unscrew the nuts that secure the tail lamp to the body then disconnect its electrical connector before you remove the tail lamp. Start by mounting the tail lamp assembly then connect the tail lamp electrical connector to finish installation. Screw in the tail lamp nuts to the body framework at 6 nm (53 lb in) torque. Put back the rear seat belt retractor before you begin installing the rear speaker for the right hand side of the vehicle. The left side installation includes the auxiliary Blower Motor and liftgate close actuator motor control module. The body side rear trim panel installation should be followed by closing the liftgate.

Start your replacement task by opening the liftgate and taking off its applique part first. You should twist the back up lamp socket counterclockwise to free it out of the liftgate applique before removing the bulb from the socket. To install the back up lamp bulb thread it into the socket before placing the back up lamp socket back into the liftgate applique by inserting it and rotating clockwise. Insert the liftgate applique back onto its original position before closing the liftgate.

Begin tail lamp replacement by opening the liftgate then removing the body side rear trim panel. When working on the right side remove the rear speaker before proceeding. To access the nuts holding the tail lamp in place on the left side you must remove the fasteners and swing the auxiliary Blower Motor outside. The liftgate close actuator motor control module needs to be repositioned when equipped for better access during replacement. Start by removing the rear seat belt retractor and then uninstall the nuts securing the tail lamp to the body until you can disconnect the tail lamp electrical connector and take out the tail lamp. Installation begins with tail lamp assembly placement before connecting the tail lamp electrical connector. Secure the tail lamp to the body with nuts while torquing them to 6 n.m (53 lb in) final value. Reinstall the rear seat belt retractor and afterward install the rear speaker on the right side. The left installation process begins with placing back the liftgate close actuator motor control module and auxiliary Blower Motor. The final step includes the body side rear trim panel installation before closing the liftgate.

Take out the back up lamp socket from the liftgate applique by turning it counterclockwise.

Remove the nuts that hold the tail lamp to the body and disconnect the tail lamp electrical connector.

Remove the fasteners and tilt the auxiliary blower motor outward to access the nuts securing the tail lamp to the body.

Open the liftgate and remove the body side rear trim panel.

Reinstall the liftgate applique onto the liftgate and close the liftgate.

Reinstall the auxiliary blower motor.
