How to replace the rear Back Up Light on 2005 Cadillac SRX?

In order to change the back up lamp, lift the applique and open the liftgate. Unscrew the lamp socket by twisting it anti-clockwise and then take out the bulb. Install the new bulb by putting it back in the socket and then retightening it by clockwise rotation after which the applique should be reattached and the liftgate closed.
