2004 Chevrolet Aveo Control Arm Bushing Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the control arm bushing on 2004 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: A technician should remove the Control Arm before starting Control Arm Bushing replacement work. The rear bushing requires both the km-158 and km-307-b working with a press to remove it. When replacing the front bushing use the km-508-a along with the km-158 to complete the pressing operation. For Control Arm rear shaft assembly use multipurpose lubricant to coat the shaft before pressing in the rear bushing while aligning the flat surface on top with the Ball Joint using km-508-a as support. To install a new bushing into the Control Arm, apply lubricant to the front bushing exterior along with the lower Control Arm interior and use the km-508-a to push the bushing from the rear side first while keeping it centered for proper alignment before finishing with an arm installation step.
