• Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2004 Chevrolet Aveo?

  A: To replace the Throttle Body assembly, disarm the negative Battery Cable and remove the air intake tube from the Throttle Body. Unplug the throttle cables by raising the throttle and pushing the cable through the slot of release then disconnect the vacuum hoses as well as lights up on the throttle position (TP) and idle air control (IAC) valves. Prescribing the section of the coolant hoses; you should remove the Throttle Body retaining bolts, and then remove the Throttle Body, getting rid of the gasket. Then take out the tp sensor and the iac valve. In the process of installing, clean the mating surface of the gasket on the Intake Manifold gently to prevent damaging the sealing surfaces, and do not clean the Throttle Body in immersion cleaners, or harsh solvents that may interfere with the electric components or sealants. After installing the tp sensor and the iac valve, connect the Throttle Body assembly with a new gasket to the Intake Manifold and tighten up the retaining bolts to the torque value of 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Install the coolant hoses, connect the vacuum hoses, and make sure the throttle control cables do not keep the throttle opened (check the accelerator pedal and it should be free when engine OFF). Connect the throttle cables, install the air intake tube, reconnect the tp sensor and iac valve connectors, and eventually, connect the negative Battery Cable and fill the cooling system.
