  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on 2004 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: First undo the master cylinder rod from the clutch pedal. Then take the master cylinder and rotate it a 45 degree clockwise to unlock it. Relieve the clutch line from the dash panel and heat shield clips and disconnect the wiring harness from the Clutch Master Cylinder start switch. Then, pull the Clutch Master Cylinder from the dash panel, and lift and support the vehicle. Using the clutch line release tool (J42371) to remove the clutch line from the concentric slave cylinder prior to lowering the vehicle to remove the Clutch Master Cylinder. For the installation, install the new Clutch Master Cylinder and lift the vehicle again. Pull back on the connector sleeve to connect the clutch line to the concentric slave cylinder and lower the vehicle and install the clips to the clutch line and the dash panel and heat shield. Adjust the Clutch Master Cylinder into the hole in the cowl panel and anti-clockwise turn it by the angle of 45 degrees for locking it. Connect the wiring harness to the Clutch Master Cylinder start switch, connect master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal and then bleed the clutch.
