2005 Chevrolet Blazer Clutch Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: By taking the master cylinder rod off the clutch pedal, turn the master cylinder 45 degrees clockwise towards unlocking the master cylinder. Remove the wires from the Clutch Master Cylinder start switch and the clips that fasten the clutch line to the dash panel and heat shield. Then, take off the Clutch Master Cylinder from the dash panel, lift, and support the vehicle. Before lowering the vehicle and the Clutch Master Cylinder, remove the clutch line from the concentric slave cylinder with the help of the clutch line release tool (J 42371). To install, start by installing the new Clutch Master Cylinder and lifting the vehicle up once again. Pull back on the connector sleeve to attach the clutch line to the concentric slave cylinder, resulting in lowering the vehicle and installing clips on the attachment of the clutch line to the dash panel and heat shield. Place the Clutch Master Cylinder into the cowl panel hole and rotate it 45 degrees to the left to lock it in. Connect the harness assembly to the Clutch Master Cylinder start switch, fastening the master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal, and the last step is bleeding the clutch.
