How to replace the Parking Brake Shoe on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?

The replacement process of parking brake shoes starts by removing the brake rotor before removing the wheel bearing/hub. After you have removed all parking brake adjustment through the adjusting nut rotation you should take off both the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring. The shoe assembly of the park brake can be extracted from its actuator assembly by catching it with fingers extending the shoe slightly before removal. The park brake shoe assembly needs to be put into place first followed by hooking up the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring during installation. The shoe clearance to drum needs adjustment before installing the wheel bearing hub followed by the brake rotor installation.
