How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

First you need to take out the left instrument panel insulator before disconnected the stop lamp switch electrical connector. Disconnect the stop lamp switch from its position on the brake pedal bracket. Install the stop lamp switch on its original position on the brake pedal bracket then connect the electrical connector. Reposition the stop lamp switch to its correct setting followed by placement of the left instrument panel insulator.
