The first step to replace the right Engine Mount begins with raising the vehicle and removing the tire and wheel after which you should take out the wheelhouse panel and Exhaust Manifold and engine protection shield before the Engine Mount heat shield if present must also be removed. The engine must never be supported through the crankshaft balancer or Oil Pan while raising it because an adjustable screw-type jack stand should be used instead. Start by uninstalling both bracket bolts of the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount connection and the Engine Mount bolts before removing the right Engine Mount. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions while installing the right Engine Mount to the engine and torque the mount bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Afterward you should install the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts after lowering the engine by removing the adjustable jack stands. When using the Engine Mount heat shield it should be installed before Engine Mount bracket bolts receive 65 nm (48 lb.ft.) torque. The installation process requires placement of the Exhaust Manifold and wheelhouse panel and engine protection shield and tire along with wheel before the vehicle can be lowered.
