How to replace the rear Steering Angle Sensor on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

The rear position sensor can be replaced by lifting the vehicle up and taking off the steering gear protection shield. Unplug the electric connector, and loosen the sensor cover with a pry tool. Take out the retaining bolts and inspect damages. Install the new sensor making sure the O-ring is there and reconnect it all and then bring the vehicle down.
