• Q: How to replace the washer reservoir on 2004 Chevrolet Venture?

  A: The washer solvent replacement process begins with solvent removal from the container before extracting the battery. First disconnect the wiper motor electrical harness which leads to the container before placing it to the side and proceed with disconnecting both the front, and rear washer pump electrical connectors when equipped. Follwed by disconnecting the washers pumps hoses the technician must remove the washer solvent container securing screws before extracting the component through the right inner fender opening. Place the new washer solvent container into the right inner fender before screw installation and tighten them to meet the specified torque of 6 n.m (53 lb in). First connect the rear washer pump hose if equipped followed by the front washer pump hose before reconnecting the rear and front washer pump electrical connectors. Reinstall the wiper motor electrical harness to the container while putting back the battery before filling the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
