How to replace the rear brake line on 2004 GMC Safari?

Begin brake hose replacement by lifting the vehicle off the ground and taking off the tire and wheel components. Put a waterproof rubber plug on the brake pipe fitting to stop fluid loss while cleaning the hose end. Secure the brake pipe end fitting to the brake hose using a back up wrench. Next release the brake hose from the fitting to disconnect both pieces. Finish the job by fitting a cost on the brake pipe fitting end. Pull out the brake hose retaining clip from its mounting position on the bracket to extract the brake hose from its slot. Take the brake hose to caliper bolt off the brake caliper and replace the worn brake hose gaskets since they may be stuck to either part. Put together the brake hose bolt with the brake hose and the two new copper brake hose gaskets before inserting the caliper bolt-rear part along with the two new washers into the brake caliper. Tighten the bolt to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.) without twisting or letting the hose touch suspension parts. Fasten the brake hose inside the mounting bracket and fix it with the brake hose retaining clip. Fit the brake pipe to the brake hose by using a back up wrench on the brake hose first end. Then screw the brake pipe by hand until you reach the 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque value without bending the mounting bracket or brake pipe. Reinstall the tire and wheel parts while checking that the brake hose stays clear from suspension parts and the tire/wheel assembly. If necessary, take out the brake hose before fixing any contact issues and then lower the vehicle.
