How to replace the front air bag sensor on 2004 GMC Savana 1500?

To install the inflatable restraint front end sensor you have to do away with the SIR and hoist the vehicle. Unscrew electrical connector and unscrew the mounting nut. Take off the sensor, clean the mounting spot and reattach the new sensor making sure that it is facing the right direction. Re-attach the electrical connector, screw the nut and activate the SIR system.
