How to replace the rear axle shaft on 2004 GMC Savana 3500?

To change the rear axle, hoist and pull off the tire, wheel and a caliper of the brake. Remove the rear axle housing cover, locking bolt of the pinion shaft, and take special procedures in locking differentials. Insert the axle shaft very carefully, align splines, and re-attach parts making sure to add proper fluid before lowering the vehicle.
