How to replace the thermostat in a 4.3L engine on 2004 GMC Sonoma?

To install the thermostat in a 4.3L engine, empty part of the cooling system. Take out the duct of the air cleaner and throttle body bracket. Unattach the water outlet housing followed by the removal of gasket and thermostat. Wipe down all surfaces, put in new thermostat and gasket, reattach housing, and leaks.
