How to replace the hazard and turn signal flasher on 2004 GMC Sonoma?

In order to change the hazard and the turn signal flasher, unopen the glove box and unlatch the retaining tab. A flat-bladed tool can be used in order to access the plastic retainer of the flasher and unattach it. Install the new flasher, screw in the retainer and rearrange the glove box and close it.
