2005 Buick Century Brake Master Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2005 Buick Century?
A: First disconnect both electrical and brake pipes from the Brake Master Cylinder. Place a rubber brake fluid cover or cap over brake pipe ends to avoid fluid leakage and contamination. First disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder and take out the master cylinder from the vehicle by removing the mounting nuts while draining all brake fluid from the reservoir. Check if new master cylinders escape fluid properly before putting them into place with the Brake Booster. Place the master cylinder mounting nuts and tighten them to 25 nm torque setting. Thread and tighten the brake pipes to the master cylinder with 15 nm force when torque is 11 ft. Lbs. Complete the setup by attaching the brake fluid sensor electrical cord then perform brake system bleeding processes.
