How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor for Bank 1 (Right) Exhaust on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

The first step to replace the camshaft position (CMP) sensor for bank 1 (Right) exhaust is to turn off the ignition. Before access installation of the ecm bracket remove its bolts while carefully keeping the Engine Control Module (ECM) bracketed to its position along with retaining the ecm redundant ground wire connection. The procedure starts with disconnecting the cmp sensor electrical connector followed by removing the cmp sensor bolt. Subsequently remove the cmp sensor. The installation process starts by placing the cmp sensor in its position and bolting it with the cmp sensor bolt which must be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) according to fastener notice in service precautions. Besides this reattach the cmp sensor electrical connector and return the ecm bracket to its place which houses the ecm.
