How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) for Bank 1 on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

In order to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) for bank 1, be sure to switch the ignition off and lift and support the vehicle as well. In order to obtain access, reposition the wiring harness heat shield and remove the KS electrical connector. Pull out the KS bolt and remove the KS. For installation, position the new KS and bolt it with KS bolt to a tightness of 23 N.m (17 lb.ft.) as according to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Reconnect the KS electrical connector and body the wiring harness heat shield back to its original posture before lowering the vehicle.
