Begin the Knock Sensor (KS) for Bank 2 replacement by turning off the ignition followed by vehicle lifter and support. You must remove the wiring harness heat shield from the oil level indicator tube for access before disconnecting the KS electrical connector. Start by uninstalling the KS bolt then extract the KS from its position. Secure the new KS in its position with the KS bolt while tightening the bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft) as specified in the Fastener Notice of Service Precautions. Commence by reinstalling the wiring harness heat shield to the oil level indicator tube following KS electrical connector reattachment then lower the vehicle.
