    Begin by disconnecting the negative battery terminal when replacing the Knock Sensor in bank 2. After removing the engine Oil Filter proceed with the next step. Use a floor jack to lower the vehicle while disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the bank 2 Knock Sensor . Thread the Knock Sensor bolt before extracting the Knock Sensor from its position. Install the Knock Sensor in its designated position before securing the bolt to 23 nm (17 lb ft). Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Knock Sensor of bank 2. First support the vehicle properly before installing a new engine Oil Filter. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable as the last step.

    Begin replacement of Bank 1 knock sensor by removing the exhaust manifold lower heat shield initially. First detach the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the bank 1 knock sensor. Before removing the knock sensor you must loosen the bolt that secures it. Position the new knock sensor then use a torque wrench to apply 23 Nm (17 lb ft) to the knock sensor bolt. The procedure requires connecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the bank 1 knock sensor and reinstalling the exhaust manifold lower heat shield after completion.

    When changing the Knock Sensor for bank 2 we first cut off the negative Battery Cable. Next, take off the engine Oil Filter. De-energize the vehicle shutdown and disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Knock Sensor of bank 2. Now loosen the Knock Sensor bolt and take out the Knock Sensor. For installation, mount the new Knock Sensor and thread the bolt to 23 nm (17 lb ft). Fasten the engine wiring harness electrical connector using bank 2 Knock Sensor. Lift up and properly support the car, then fit a new engine Oil Filter. Then reconnect negative cable of the battery.

Then, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the bank 1 knock sensor. Remove the bolt of the knock sensor and take off the knock sensor. For installation, place the new knock sensor and torque the knock sensor bolt to 23 Nm (17 lb ft). Next return the engine wiring harness electrical connector to bank 1 knock sensor , along with the exhaust manifold lower heat shield.
