How to replace the knock sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

Remove the negative Battery Cable before replacing the Knock Sensor. Then, lift up the vehicle, and prop it up. Next, instead of the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Knock Sensor pigtail electrical connector pull the Knock Sensor electrical connector pigtail from the oil level indicator tube bracket clip. Afterward, take off the Knock Sensor bolt and removal. To mount, rotate the pigtail 90° off vertical before attaching the fastener. Mount the Knock Sensor, then tighten the Knock Sensor bolt to 25nm (18 lb ft). To reconnect the Knock Sensor electrical connector pigtail clip to the oil level indicator tube bracket and the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Knock Sensor pigtail electrical connector. Finally, lower the vehicle and reattach the negative Battery Cable.
