How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on Bank 1 on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

To replace the Knock Sensor (KS) for Bank 1, first turn the ignition OFF and lift/support the vehicle. Relocate the wiring harness heat shield for reach, then disconnect the KS electrical connector once removing the KS bolt to remove the KS. For installations, put the new KS in position and make sure you follow the Fastener Notice to have ideal guidelines. Attach the KS to the bolt and tighten it to 23 N.m (17 lb ft), reconnect the KS electrical connector and return the wiring harness heat shield to its original location, and then lower the vehicle.
