    Q:
How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust on Cadillac STS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust camshaft position sensor involves engine sight shield removal. Starting with the right bank exhaust camshaft position sensor , detach its electrical connector while marking the connectors when multiple sensors need removal for precise installation since all connectors have interchangeable functions. The right bank exhaust camshaft position sensor can be removed after you have taken out its retaining bolt first. During installation apply engine oil to the camshaft position sensor O-ring then check for signs of damage while making a sensor replacement if it shows wear. Use the right bank exhaust camshaft position sensor and install its retaining bolt while tightening it to 10 N.m (89 lb in). After reconnecting the sensor electrical connector you should operate the engine to verify no leaks exist near the sensor before installing the engine sight shield.
