How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on Bank 1 (Right) Exhaust on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

Your first task should be to disable the ignition before starting the bank 1 (Right) exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor replacement process. The bracket bolts of the ecm should be removed before repositioning the bracket but maintaining the Engine Control Module (ECM) on its bracket along with the ecm redundant ground wire. Before beginning with the replacement proceed to disconnect the cmp sensor electrical connector and remove its bolt while taking out the cmp sensor. Follow this procedure to install the cmp sensor by placing it in its position and securing it using the cmp sensor bolt which should be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) according to fastener notice in service precautions. The cmp sensor electrical connector should be reconnected first before reinstalling the ecm bracket with the ecm.
