How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor for Bank 1 (Right) Exhaust on 2005 Cadillac CTS?

You must turn off the ignition before starting the replacement procedure of the camshaft position (CMP) sensor for bank 1 (Right) exhaust. The ecm bracket should be modified by loosening its bolts before moving the bracket into position yet maintaining both the ecm bracket's attachment to the module and the redundant ground wire intact. Unplug the cmp sensor electrical connector before you uninstall the bolt and removable cmp sensor from its position. Place the cmp sensor in its position and use the cmp sensor bolt to fasten it while securing it according to fastener notice in service precautions at 10 n.m (89 lb in). After reconnecting the cmp sensor electrical connector you need to reattach the ecm bracket along with the ecm.
