  A: The first step of replacing the Ignition Coil(S) for bank 1 requires turning off the ignition while also removing the engine cover. The process of changing an Ignition Coil for cylinder 1 requires removing and repositioning the Intake Manifold but maintaining the fuel pipes and hoses in position. Remove the air cleaner duct from the Throttle Body before uninstalling the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from right bank camshaft cover. Begin by removing the Intake Manifold bolts while maintaining the upper manifold connection with the lower manifold. Next remove the Intake Manifold brace bolts (1 and 2) and the brace itself. Push the upper Intake Manifold onto the lower manifold to create enough space for Ignition Coil removal. Pull off the Ignition Coil electrical connectors and remove the Ignition Coil bolts to extract the coils from the engine. To install the Ignition Coil(s), reposition them into their proper location using Ignition Coil bolt(s) which should be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) following service precautions fastener notice. Complete the installation by reattaching your Ignition Coil electrical connector(s) and if needed reinstall the Intake Manifold and engine cover.
