How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Begin the camshaft position (CMP) sensor replacement by first turning off the ignition and taking out the Power Steering Pump. The sensor electrical connector should be disconnected before removing the attachment bolt and extracting the sensor from its place. Check the sensor o-ring for wear and cracks and detecting any leakage before decision-making about sensor replacement. Clean engine oil used to lubricate the o-ring before sensor replacement but new parts must be installed if the o-ring shows damage. Place the Camshaft Position Sensor in position before screwing down the retaining bolt to 8 n.m (71 lb in). After linking the sensor electrical connector you should reinstall the Power Steering Pump.
