  A: Start by turning off the ignition before you eliminate the air intake duct to begin the throttle position (TP) sensor replacement process. Remove the throttle position (TP) sensor electric connector together with the fuel lines and evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line. Two fasteners hold the tp sensor place so you must remove these fasteners before pulling out both the tp sensor and o-ring. The installation process requires insertion of an o-ring onto the tp sensor which should then be mounted onto the Throttle Body assembly. Tighten the sensor fasteners through an application of loctite(R) 262 (GM P/N #1052624) or an equivalent compound to 2.0 n.m (18 lb in). Proceed with reattaching the tp sensor electrical connector followed by evap purge line and fuel lines before putting back the air intake duct.
