  A: Service of the Throttle Position Sensor begins by turning off the ignition followed by air intake duct removal. Will start by disconnecting all the vehicle components including the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line, fuel lines, and throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector. The tp sensor fasteners require removal before extracting both the sensor and its o-ring assembly. To begin installation you should mount the tp sensor o-ring in place before installing it to the Throttle Body assembly. Secure the tp sensor with the 2 fasteners, applying loctite(R) 262, gm p/n #1052624, or an equivalent thread-locking compound to the screws, and tighten them to 2.0 n.m (18 lb in). Begin by reattaching the tp sensor electrical connector and then the evap purge line before securing the fuel lines. Finish the installation by reattaching the air intake duct.
