Move the Catalytic Converter out of the way before disconnecting the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater when present. You should start by disconnection of the engine harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Then remove the ckp sensor stud before you can take out the ckp sensor. Before placing a new sensor check the ckp sensor o-ring to see if it requires replacement due to wear or damage. Use clean engine oil to lubricate the sensor o-ring before installation of the ckp sensor. Standard replacement practice also applies here. Tighten the ckp sensor stud to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
