How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (24X) on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?

To remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (24X), turn off the ignition and jack the vehicle up to support on a hoist. Unplug the crankshaft Harmonic Balancer and detect the routing of the sensor harness to allow for easy manipulation. Pull the harness retaining clip out using the bolt and unplug the sensor electrical connector. Then remove sensor bolts and remove the sensor. To install, locate the 24x Crankshaft Position Sensor with bolts and secure the harness as done during removal. Mount the harness retaining clip using the bolt and tighten the bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb.in.). Some tasks including connecting the sensor electrical connector, reinstalling the balancer on the crankshaft lowering the vehicle, and also doing the ckp system variation learn procedure.
