How to service the knock sensor on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?

To service the knock sensor; switch OFF the ignition, follow with lifting the vehicle with the proper lifting gadgets. Separate the wiring harness connector connected with the knock sensor and take the sensor away from the engine block. When installing new knock sensor, never use thread sealant to seal the threads on the sensor because these threads come with this coating at the factory, which is essential for the detonation detection by the sensor. Mount the knock sensor onto the engine block and fasten it with a torque of 19 N.m (14 lb ft). Finally, plug the wiring harness connector to the knock sensor, and pull down the vehicle.
