How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

You must remove the Power Steering Pump before disconnecting the cmp sensor from the cmp sensor electrical connector which is part of the fuel injector harness. The procedure requires the cmp sensor bolt to be removed before taking out the cmp sensor. When replacing the sensor is not required look for wear or damage on the cmp sensor o-ring and apply for a new seal when needed. Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate the sensor o-ring before installing the cmp sensor with its bolt. The bolt should be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb ft). Finally install the Power Steering Pump while connecting the fuel injector harness electrical connector to the cmp sensor.
